The Grooms’ family has been doing business in Ottumwa, IA since 1898. RG Construction, Inc. is the 4th iteration of Grooms Contracting. From the original Grooms Contracting came Grooms Bros, Inc. founded in 1948. Eventually Grooms Bros, Inc. evolved into Grooms & Co. Construction (circa 1978) until finally RG Construction, Inc. was founded in 2012. Since then, Rod Grooms (current owner & founder of RG) has expanded the business into one of Iowa’s premier commercial construction companies.
